In tillage, on NE-facing slope. Oval area (64.5m NW-SE; 46.9m NNE-SSW) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.1m) with external fosse (D 0.8m). Bank wide and flat topped (Wth of top 2.2m); entrance to SSW (Wth 2m). Fosse U-shaped, dry, partially overgrown. Interior planted with beech trees. Known as 'Lis-na-reenawn' according to Jones (1910, 57). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
