What is recorded here

In improved undulating pasture, within a field system (TS059-093001-). Identified as an enclosure on an aerial photograph (GSI R. 438/7, 16/04/1974). A sub-circular area (dims. 17m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by scant remains of a levelled bank (Wth 4.95m; int. H 0.05m; ext. H 0.05m) and outer fosse (Wth 2.6m) which is visible from NE-SW as a dark discolouration in the grass. The bank is visible from S-SW and W-N and elsewhere as discolouration in the grass. There is a low, raised oval area (dims. 8m NW-SE; 5.25m NE-SW) defined by scarp (Wth 1.3m H 0.15m) S-W-N-ESE within the interior. A modern farm trackway lies c. 9m to the N.
