Enclosure MA063-042---- in Lurga Lower

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

What is recorded here

In pasture, located on top of a ridge, close to the break of slope on the E side where there is a steep fall of ground, providing good views over the surrounding undulating grassland. Not shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; shown on the 1920 edition as an arc of hachures curving S–NE (chord L c. 30-35m NE–SW), possibly defining the NW half of an enclosure. There is no visible trace at ground level.
