Enclosure in Knockeens

In rough, heather-covered hill pasture, on the SE-facing slope of Mangertonbeg Mountain. A D-shaped area (8.4m NW-SE), with a straight NW side (L 6m), defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.7m). There is a possible entrance at E. The interior slopes down to the S. Loose stones are scattered within the interior and on the downslope, externally. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
