What is recorded here

Knockaneroe holds a lost fort in County Cork, perhaps buried under P. O'Callaghan's land or vanished entirely. Bowman recorded a levelled single-ramparted enclosure in 1934, yet even that trace has slipped from human memory. The earth keeps its own counsel, hiding what it wishes and revealing only what it chooses to remember.
