What is recorded here

Enclosure in Hampton Demesne is a hidden circular earthwork, about thirty metres across, with an opening toward the south-south-east. It no longer shows at ground level, but the land above it still carries the shape of a ringfort beneath the tillage. The field may have swallowed a whole neighbourhood of rooms, hearths and lives, yet it continues to mark its own edge through the crops.

Situated on on relatively flat land under tillage. An aerial photograph (CUCAP, BGL 4) shows a cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m).
