Enclosure in Dowdallshill — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Discovered during road construction (Excavation Licence No. 94E0075). Heavily truncated before excavation commenced. Remains consisted of two ditches (avg. Wth 6.5m; avg. D 3.5m) running at right angles across the road-take. Artefacts recovered included Man-made underground passage ware pottery, a polished stone axe, a bone comb and flint fragments. A geophysical survey indicated that the ditches formed part of a rectangular enclosure. A substantial portion of the site lay undisturbed on either side of the road.
