Enclosure in Coorleagh

In rough hill pasture, on a break, on a N-facing slope, in the valley of the Coomeelan stream. A circular area (diam. 7.4m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.75m; H 0.3m) which is best preserved N-SW, where outer kerbing is evident. There is a low bank SW-NW. A boulder and a single upright stone (H 0.6m) are incorporated into the wall at N and SE, respectively. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
