Situated on a W-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area overlooking Lough Derg to the W. A nearby enclosure site (TN019-007) and a possible ringfort (TN019-009) lie to the N and E respectively. Destroyed by a land reclamation scheme in the late 1960s. Not visible at ground level.
