In pasture, on summit of hill, enclosed by forestry W-NW (buffer zone c. 100m). Sub-oval area (dims. 29m NNE-SSW; 27m ESE-WNW) defined by bank (overall Wth 9.3m; Wth at top 2.3m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.15m) SE-E and scarp (Wth 4.1m; H 1.75m) E-SE. Entrance gap (Wth 1m) at S may be modern. Fosse (overall Wth 7.35m; basal Wth 3m; D 0.8m) SW-NE is shallower E-SE. Field boundary (overall Wth 2.8m; Wth at top 0.75m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.6m) respects monument WSW-NNE, as per 2nd (1952-4) edition OS 6-inch map, and has been levelled beyond monument to NE and S. Interior has a gentle S-facing slope; Possible hut site (TS061-048001-) adjoins bank at N. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
