Enclosure in Ballyandreen, County Kerry

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

What is recorded here

There is no visible trace of the circular univallate enclosure marked on the OS maps. It was located on a gentle NW facing slope at the W end of the low ridge that extends W from Flemingstown mountain. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 616.
