What is recorded here

On a rise of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered earthen mound (diam. 12.5m E-W; 12m N-S; H 2.3m at W to 2.8m at S) with a flat summit (diam. 1.15m). Rath (RO016-063----) is c. 170m to the S, and barrow (RO016-060----) is c. 140m to the E. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Embanked enclosure; date uncertain but likely Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age. Its association with nearby rath and barrow suggests a ceremonial or defensive function in a broader funerary or settlement landscape.
