Embanked enclosure

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Marked as a sub-triangular embanked enclosure (dims c. 40m NE-SW; c. 40m NW-SE) cut by an ENE-WSW field bank towards the perimeter at N on the 1840 (GA019) and 1927 (RO038) eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the top of the gentle SW-facing slope of a N-S ridge. It is not visible at ground level in pasture but the field bank survives and the perimeter might be incorporated into a NW-SE field bank at W.
