Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrownurlar (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the western edge of a low plateau as a circular grass-covered area measuring thirty-six and a half metres north-south and thirty-four metres east-west. An earthen bank six to seven metres wide surrounds the centre, while a rounded fosse appears along the northern and western sides. A two-metre entrance and causeway mark the southwest, where a field wall now overlays part of the bank.

At the W edge of a low plateau. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 36.5m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 6.3-7.5m; int. H 0.35-1m; ext. H 1.2-1.8m) with some bushes, and a rounded fosse (Wth of top 4.5-6.7m; Wth of base c. 1m; D 0.25m) NNE-S-NW. The entrance (Wth 2m) and causeway are at SW.
