What is recorded here

Situated on the gentle NW-facing slope of a natural rise in undulating terrain, in pasture. Marked on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map as an irregular-shaped enclosure with an internal feature (possible quarry). The field has been reclaimed and a N-S field boundary to the E kicks out slightly possibly respecting the former site. An oval dip (dims. 20m x 10m) may be the remains of the filled-in quarry marked on 1st ed. Not visible at ground level.
