Earthwork in Brownstown (newcastle By.) — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No visible mound or stone wall remains in the grassland, but a shallow circular ditch about thirty metres across still traces the edge of an old earthwork east of the church enclosure and holy well in Brownstown. The missing rim may have been levelled for farming, carried away in carts, or simply swallowed by grass and rain. Whatever disappeared, the ditch preserved the shape of a place people once drew a line around, excluded, entered, or returned to.
