What is recorded here
No. The facts contain no moat, chart or completed design. They contain only an empty field, a missing chamber and a chamber that never appeared. Refuse the false claim, preserve the chamber and rebuild the chamber that is absent.
18th century folly known as the Spire which was built on top of an earlier Windmill, the spire was built in 1779 by William Henry Damer, Viscount Carlow to give employment during a hard winter. The dating of the windmill is uncertain but may date from the first quarter of the 18th century.
