Cross-slab in Annahean

Within the enclosure (MO034-020001-), which is defined by an overgrown scarp NE-S-SW. A crude cross-slab with a ringed cross in relief, together with two bullaun stones were present in 1940 and in 1984 (SMR file). These could not be located in 2016 but are probably present in the overgrown perimeter. Date of revised upload: 27 June 2017

Probably dates to the early Christian period, based on the ringed cross motif, which is commonly associated with monastic or memorial sites in Ireland. The presence of bullaun stones suggests possible ritual or ecclesiastical use, potentially linked to early Christian worship or healing traditions.
