What is recorded here

In the detached Glebe portion near Rathcline and Shrule, a cross-inscribed stone lies flat on the graveyard surface beside the memorial of Jas. Scott, who died in 1746. The cross cuts through grass and memory alike, marking a place where ordinary burial became a visible claim about faith, identity, or warning. People may have passed it for generations, reading the stone as much as reading a name.
