Detached two-bay single-storey with dormered attic brick bungalow, built c. 1900, in the Arts and Craft style. Square on pan, veranda to south-west corner, rectangular flat-roofed bay to south elevation, lean-to porch to west elevation, lean-to extension to north-west. Hipped and sprocketed red tile roof, clay ridge tiles, red brick slightly-tapered chimneystacks with tall clay pots, flat-roofed dormers with tiled cheeks to south, east and north slopes, cast-iron gutters on bracketed eaves, cast-iron downpipes. Red brick walling, painted smooth rendered walling to east elevation, painted timber vertical boarding to west porch. Square-headed window openings, painted timber multi-pane casement windows. Square-headed door opening to south elevation, painted timber and glazed door; square-headed door opening at porch to west elevation, painted timber panelled door, fixed pane sidelight. Set in large garden, approached by a tree-lined avenue, attached at rear to 1980s house.
This is a delightful bungalow-style house dating from the turn of the century and rich with Arts and Crafts detailing. The oversize chimneys and overhanging eaves create a dramatic effect at the end of the avenue leading to the house. This is further enhanced by the very attractive multi-paned window, the survival of which is fortuitous. The rustic veranda now infilled is another interesting feature. The house contributes to the architectural legacy of Dromiskin.
