Corragarry Orange Hall

Detached three-bay single-storey Orange hall with attic storey, dated 1908. Pitched slate roof with red brick chimneystack, decorative timber bargeboards, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Harl-rendered walls, with coursed rubble stone exposed to rear (south) elevation. Marble plaque to front having inlaid lettering and date. Square-headed window openings, with render reveals, sandstone sills and timber battened shuttering. Square-headed door opening to west gable, having steel door.

This modest Orange hall is enlivened by timber bargeboards, which add decorative interest, and a date plaque, which provides artistic and contextual interest. As a meeting place for members of the Orange Order, it is of some socio-politcal significance in this rural area, and forms a group with the adjacent Free Presbyterian church.
