On a gentle E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 104m) defined by an earthen bank (at E: Wth 3m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.65m; at S: Wth 7.3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m), with a rounded fosse (Wth of top 7.5m; Wth of base 2.3m; D 0.45m) SSE-S. The centre is a slightly raised platform (diam. c. 70m) defined by a scarp (max. H c. 0.5m). There is a rectangular house site (RO039-051002-) (int. dims 6.2m E-W; 5.3m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2-4.3m; H 0.35m) against the inner edge of the perimeter at W. The surrounding area of c. 5 ha (c. 13 acres) contains rectangular fields (RO038-051003-) (dims c. 100m x c. 30m) defined by earthen banks (Wth. c. 1.5m), scarps and silted ditches (Wth c. 1.5m) attached to the W and N of the enclosure, and a house-site (RO039-052004-) (int. dims 15.8m NW-SE; 8.2m NE-SW) defined by earthen banks (Wth 1.3-1.8m; H 0.1-0.35m) is associated with the fields. Rath (RO039-052001-) and annexe (RO039-052002-) are c. 200m to the NE, on the other side of a NW-SE stream.
