On level ground, land rises to W and NW in gently undulating terrain. Late 17th/early 18th-century house (dims. 6.2m x 16m; rear wall T 0.72m), S facing, two storey with steep-pitched roof with pie-crust cornice (Craig and Garner 1975, 77-8). Five bays with central doorway and end stacks. Windows are narrow, two panes wide. House is one room deep with central dog-legged stair and room to either side. Attic (dims. 5m x 14.85m) has an original A-frame roof with roman numerals visible on three of the six cross-beams (I, II and V), though only one corresponding roman numeral is visible on a rafter (I on E face of N rafter), the others being presently obscured by plaster.
