What is recorded here

Cathaganstown is the hidden heart of a lost castle, its stones dragged from the ground and rebuilt into an ordinary two-storey farmhouse. The flat upland still offers wide views in every direction, but no wall, tower or castle edge remains visible anywhere near the house. What stood there before is gone except in the shape of the room that replaced it.
On flat ground in upland region with good views in all directions. Two-storey farmhouse constructed from rubble of levelled castle on site of where castle was located. Castle not visible at ground level, nor is any fabric of castle visible in walls of farmhouse. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
