Clogheen Bridge — Report the wrong picture

Four-arch flat road bridge over River Tar, built c. 1800. Rubble limestone walls with dressed limestone voussoirs, keystones and plinth, having V-cutwaters up and downstream. Recent cast-iron light fittings and overflow holes to parapet walls. Appears to have been widened.

This bridge retains much original material as well as fine craftsmanship in its masonry work and construction. It shows evidence of having been widened to accommodate increasing traffic.
