Cloghauns/Clochán: Within an old field system, high on the steep N slopes of Bentee, overlooking the town of Cahersiveen and the Valencia river estuary. On a natural terrace, a circular hut of corbelled drystone construction with an entrance, .6m wide, at E. A collapsed secondary wall divides its interior. Remnants of a drystone wall extend for a short distance from the exterior at NE. D: 3.9m x 3.8m. H: .8m. T: 1.5m. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
