What is recorded here
A small humpback single-arched bridge (Wth 5.8m; wall T 0.5m) over the River Clare with roughly cut voussoirs. Evidence of a straight joint on the soffit of the arch indicates that the bridge was widened. The bridge originally measured approx. 2.9m in width. As this bridge links both Limerick and Tipperary counties it is also listed under TN037-034----. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 9 May 2016
