Situated to the N of Kilgobbin Road. A cist was noted by Rev. George Goring Cuthbert in 1835. A human skeleton enclosed in a cist was unearthed in the immediate vicinity of Kilgobbin castle (Leslie 1934). Compiled by: Geraldine Stout and Padraig Clancy Revised upload on: 8 July 2018
Cist burial, likely dating to the Early Christian or Bronze Age period. Its association with Kilgobbin Castle suggests a possible link to local medieval or earlier funerary practices.
