Church in Kilcaskan South

Bowman (1934, 209), probably referring to possible ringfort (13065), recorded church site on W. Lane's farm; 'part of the surrounding fence 25 yards long by c. 2 feet high, still stands. Not a vestige of the church is to be seen. diam. c. 34 yds.' The site of the church was shown to James Byrne J.P. (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 3, 261) by Mr P. Lane, 'one of the tenants of Kilcaskin...The spot has been spared from the plough and is marked by a few mounds'. No visible surface trace.
