Not visible at ground level.19th-century C of I church located on site of Early Christian monastery founded by St. Finan in the sixth century (O' Flanagan 1933, vol. 2, 33-6). Early Christian cross-slab (OF036-040002-) located inside church decorated with spiral headed crosses in the angles of a large double lined cross. Jambstone which was part of a 13th-century window has been reused as a headstone in the graveyard (OF036-040003-) around the C of I church. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
