The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Situated on an outcrop hillock. Drystone-built Man-made underground passage consisting of a sub-circular beehive chamber (diam. 2.8m, H 1.3m) with a passage (L 14.5m, W 0.8m, H 1.2m) extending SE, then gently curving S. A second passage (L 8.5m, Wth 0.8m, H 1.1m) extends NE from the middle of the first passage. A third passage (L 6.5m, Wth 0.7m, H 0.7m) runs W from the S end of the first passage and terminates in a rectangular chamber (L 4.5m, Wth 1.5m, H 1.6m) aligned NE-SW.
