What is recorded here
Killenora may hide a lost castle, though no wall or chamber remains visible to mark the claim. The townland could have served a local lord, a royal officer, or a fleeing family, yet human life and purpose have faded from the soil. Clarke (Carloviana 1990-1, 26) preserved the possibility, and that much is enough to keep the place alive in the mind.
Clarke (Carloviana 1990-1, 26) refers to a possible castle in this townland, however, the precise location is unknown.
