Feahoe Castle vanished during the seventeenth century, leaving behind only a vague memory of a round tower rather than a clear ruin. That absence is fitting because the place resists definition, refusing to hand over its shape or history. It may have stood somewhere ordinary in County Monaghan, watching fields and roads while people lived around it. Forgetting it does not diminish it; it preserves the mystery that made it worth remembering.

According to local information, a castle at Feahoe was destroyed in the 17th century (IFC School's MSS; 929, 35). It is described as a round tower but its exact location is not known.
