Castle (in Ruins)

In pasture on gently S-facing slope. No visible surface trace. Shown on OS 6-inch map (1842) as small square structure named 'Turret'; two walls survive on 2nd ed. OS 6-inch map. According to tradition, built by Sir William Hull in the early 17th century (O'Donoghue 1986, 10). According to local information, a structure "honeycombed with pigeon holes" formerly stood here.
