Five-arch stone road bridge, built c.1800, over Carratraw Lough. Squared rubble stone abutments, semi-circular arches, irregular cut-stone voussoirs to arch rings, roughly squared rubble stone to barrel of west aches, concrete arch ring supporting east arches. Spandrels with cutwaters to outer arches and parapet with projecting stone coping.

An attractive and robust road bridge on an historically important site, forming the western connecting bridge between the mainland and the island, Inis Mor, that is fully encircled by Lough Carratraw. The current bridge is likely to have replaced an earlier bridge. Its excellent construction is a reminder of the quality and craftsmanship of stone masons at the time. The bridge is part of the high quality civil engineering hertiage of the county.
