Detached four-bay two-storey house, c.1820, retaining some original fenestration. Extended, c.1995, comprising single-bay single-storey end bay to south with single-bay single-storey return to east possibly incorporating fabric of earlier range. Undergoing renovation, 2003. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, rendered coping, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Pitched artificial slate roofs to additional ranges with clay ridge tiles, and uPVC rainwater goods on timber eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings (one round-headed window opening to rear (east) elevation) with cut-stone sills. 6/6 timber sash windows (with fanlight to round-headed opening) with some replacement 6/6 timber sash windows, 2003. Square-headed door opening under gabled timber canopy, 2003, on consoles with replacement timber panelled door, 2003. Square-headed window openings to additional range with uPVC casement windows on concrete sills. Interior with the timber panelled doors having carved timber surrounds, and timber panelled shutters to window openings. Set back from line of road in own grounds with gravel drive to front, and landscaped grounds to site.

A well-proportioned house of modest appearance, which retains most of its original form and early character to the original portion. A later addition, built on the footprint of an earlier range on site, is not an attractive component of the overall composition, although present (2003) renovation works are being carried out in keeping with the original integrity of the house. The house remains an important component of the architectural heritage of Ardmore, and presents an appealing feature of formal appearance in the street scene.
