CAIRN (removed) in Carnlelis

CAIRN (removed)

What is recorded here

In the hills of County Antrim, a forgotten cairn stands where ancient hands first stacked stone. The structure dates to the prehistoric era, when uncertain lives depended on clear marks across difficult ground. People may have built the pile to aid memory, navigate distance or honor what they loved. It still belongs to the land, waiting for recognition.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CAIRN (removed). Recorded period: PREHISTORIC; UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
