Cairn

Situated on the floor of the NE-SW upper Araglin river valley, at the S edge of the ravine of a NE-SW tribuatary stream at a point where it turns NW. An oval cairn (dims. 1.5m x 1m) with protruding kerbstones is built on top of cairn circle (WA014-033014-). A Neolithic cairn, likely dating to the Early to Middle Neolithic period (c. 4000–3000 BCE), possibly associated with burial or ritual practices. Its location and kerb suggest it is part of a broader pattern of early monument-building in upland landscapes.
