Situated on a gentle W-facing slope between the NE-SW Araglin River c. 30m to the NW, and a tributary to the S. Circular grass-covered cairn (diam. 4-4.5m; H 0.2-0.3m) defined by kerbstones which barely protrude above the cairn. (Moore 1995, 205, 223, 228, 242, L1) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). A circular cairn, likely dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age, associated with funerary or ritual practices; its kerb-stone construction suggests a regional megalithic tradition.
