Burnt mound in Moher (mohill By., Roosky Ed)

Situated on a fairly level landscape. First identified in centre-line testing (05E0983) for a new line of the N4 (O’Connor et al. 2005, 37), and later fully resolved (E003305) as a part of Moher 5. This is a spread of burnt sandstone (dims 3.8m x 3m; max. D 0.08m) in a natural depression, from which a fragment of chert debitage was recovered. Burnt mound (LE035-013002-) is c. 12m to the ESE.
