Towards the headwaters of a slight E-W stream. An oval area of broken and burnt stone (dims 10m N-S; 8m E-W; max. D 0.45m) was identified during the testing for a water scheme. It was completely excavated (07E0720) but produced no artefacts or other features. Burnt mound (RO053-008002-) is c. 10m to the W. Burnt mound, likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age. Such features are commonly associated with ritual or industrial activities, though their exact function remains debated.
