Burial in Farnane — Report the wrong picture

In May 1988 human remains were discovered during construction of cattle pen, c. 1m below ground level. A brief archaeological investigation revealed that the bones, which also included horse bones, were disarticulated and deposited in a brown silty soil. This deposit was probably part of the fill of the ditch of adjacent Castle Comfort (LI014-017002-). A radiocarbon date for the bone yielded the calibrated date of 1290-1430 AD.
