Palatine planters died and were buried in Ballydaniel More, but the corner where they rest has slipped from human memory. What remains is a absence shaped like a field, perhaps still holding bones beneath grass or soil. The name preserves more than survey markers because it records that strangers arrived, lived, died and belonged there. Forgetting the spot does not undo the corner; it returns the corner to the landscape that first received it.

Coleman (1894, 35) recorded a graveyard 'at the southern part of Mr. Maurice O'Connell's farm at Ballydanielmore.' This may be the same burial ground referred to by Power (1923, 199) as 'The Palatines' Corner, a place where Palatine planters were buried.' The precise location of this burial ground is not known.
