What is recorded here
Mnemo is a disused burial ground on a slight rise in County Carlow. The remains of two walls and one eighteenth-century headstone still mark the edge of the forgotten place. A bullaun sits beside them, waiting for hands that remember how to use it.
The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007
Unenclosed slight rise (c. 1m) on which foundations of N and E walls are visible. One eighteenth-century headstone. Bullaun (CW007-017002-) now on site.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
