Burgage Cemetery in Blessington, County Wicklow, holds St. Mark's Cross, a twelve-century granite monument salvaged from the drowned original site near Poulaphouca Reservoir. The cross stands four metres tall with unusually long arms and an unpierced ring, marking a place where human memory outlived the landscape itself. What the water took, the cemetery kept.
