A bullaun (dims. 0.4m x 0.35m x 0.35m) with a single cavity (diam. 0.23m) located in graveyard (WI035-020002-). When inspected by ASI the landowner noted that there were several more bullauns on this site but no others were located. Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 21 August 2013

Likely dating to the early Christian period, bullaun stones were often used for ritual purposes, such as anointing or as holy water basins, and are associated with local saints or pilgrimage traditions. This example, located within a graveyard, may have had spiritual or protective significance in the medieval or earlier Christian context.
