A bullaun stone (dims. c. 1.4m x 0.55m; H 0.6m) with a single basin (diam. 0.3m; D 0.15m) is inside the bank of rath (WA024-002001-) at SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore. Date of upload/revision: 6th May, 2011.

Likely dating to the early medieval period, bullaun stones were often associated with Christian sites and may have been used for ritual purposes, such as the preparation of holy water. Their placement near ancient raths suggests a possible link between earlier pagan and later Christian traditions in the landscape.
