What is recorded here

In a graveyard (KE066-016002-). Located immediately outside the NW corner of the nave of the church (KE066-016001-). The stone (L 0.85m; Wth 0.6m; H 0.4m) is irregular in plan and has a circular bowl-shaped hollow (diam. c. 0.3m; D 0.15m) on its upper surface. The hollow is filled with water and debris. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011
Probably dating to the early Christian period, the stone may have had a ritual or commemorative function, possibly associated with the church or local burial practices. Bowl-shaped hollows on such stones are often interpreted as libation or ritual features.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
