Rectangular stone (L 0.47m; Wth 0.19m; T 0.2m) with central oval depression (L 0.21m; Wth 0.12m; D 0.17m). Broken at one corner. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this small rectangular stone with a central oval depression may have had ritual or symbolic significance, possibly as a marker or offering site. Its placement near a levelled circular enclosure suggests a broader ceremonial landscape, though specific folklore or use remains unrecorded.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
