An unbaptised burial ground and a square compartment holding a cairn marked the vanished church when Windele arrived in 1844. The chapel had still served worshippers three generations earlier, yet no wall or grave marker remains to prove the claim. Only a smooth bullaun stone sits southeast of the enclosure, waiting for rain to reveal the water hole hidden inside its hollow.

In an ecclesiastical enclosure (CO052-034001-). Visited by Windele in 1844 (O'Donoghue 1914) who found 'an unbaptised burial ground and a square compartment containing a cairn or mound....marked the site of the ancient church ' which, according to O'Donoghue 'was used as a chapel more than three generations ago'. No visible trace of church nor of burial ground (CO052-034004-); bullaun stone (CO052-034003-) to SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
